Abstract
The article discusses the need for standards for pharmacy technician education as advanced by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) as of July 2019. Other topics include the technician certification issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, as well as the purpose of the 2017 Pharmacy Technician Stakeholder Concensus Conference held by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
