Abstract
This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, examines the impact of multidisciplinary discussion on the management of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNENs) at a tertiary center. The study, conducted at the AUSL of Bologna, retrospectively analyzed data from 128 patients between 2004 and 2023. The results showed that systematic multidisciplinary discussion did not have a significant clinical impact on surgical complications, recurrences, and reinterventions. The authors suggest that a more selective approach to multidisciplinary discussion, focusing on complex or doubtful cases, may be more beneficial. [Extracted from the article]
