Abstract
The article presents a cross-sectional survey in South Australia over a 3-month period. The survey assessed past and present research activity of junior surgeons and aimed to determine the rates and reasons of non-completion and failure to publish in peer-reviewed journals. The Australia's National Health and Medical Research Council Evidence Hierarchy has been used to reach quality of research projects.
