Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 47-year-old woman with a medical history of uterine fibroids after being the restrained driver in a motor vehicle collision. Topics include a midline laparotomy incision being made, and entry into the peritoneal cavity revealed significant hemoperitoneum; and a massive fibroid extending beyond the umbilicus was noted and found to be completely avulsed from the uterus.
