This article discusses the limitations of personalized medicine and artificial intelligence (AI)-based precision medicine models due to the lack of diverse data sources. The authors created models to predict the complexity of Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) components, but the results were surgeon-dependent. The external validation of the models produced poor prediction results, indicating the need for more diverse data and participation from multiple surgeons and centers. The authors have provided a web-based app to help surgeons understand the models' decisions and have invited others to contribute their experiences and results to improve the models.
