Abstract
Issa Rae, the successful actress, writer, and producer, reflects on the challenges she faced in 2023 and her plans for a better 2024. Despite her accomplishments, including her hit show Insecure and various business ventures, Rae has experienced setbacks and witnessed a lack of progress in increasing representation and diversity in Hollywood. She is determined to continue creating opportunities for people of color and is working on new projects for HBO, as well as building a studio campus in South L.A.
