Abstract
The article calls for protection and medical care for military-affiliated transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) youths. Topics discussed are health care system barriers to gender-affirming treatment including discrimination, poor access and fear of mistreatment, legislative efforts to restrict gender-affirming care for TGD youths, impact of restrictive laws on TGD youths, threats to military readiness, and measures to overcome barriers to the provision of and access to gender-affirming care.
