Abstract
The article focuses on the use of iris fingerprinting in orienting toric intraocular lenses (IOLs) for performing astigmatic cataract surgery as recommended by Robert H. Osher, ophthalmology professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. It explains the procedure of iris fingerprinting performed by Osher. He believes that this iris mapping can be useful in intraoperative keratoscopy and other implantation procedures.
