Abstract
This article presents a case report of a severe adverse reaction to a polycaprolactone-based dermal filler, which is the first reported case of its kind. The patient, a 45-year-old female, experienced facial swelling, bruises, a cutaneous rash, joint pain, and limited range of motion after receiving the filler. The patient was treated with medication and the symptoms gradually improved. The article provides information about polycaprolactone and its properties as a collagen stimulator, as well as previous cases of local adverse events associated with the filler. The authors believe that this report will be useful for physicians and patients considering treatment with polycaprolactone-based dermal filler. [Extracted from the article]
