Abstract
This article discusses the use of tirbanibulin ointment for the management of recurrent superficial basal cell carcinoma (BCC) of the face. BCC is the most common skin cancer in fair-skinned adults over 50 years old, and its incidence is increasing worldwide. The standard treatment for BCC is surgery, but there is a need for alternative approaches due to the high recurrence rate. Tirbanibulin ointment, a synthetic antiproliferative agent, has shown promising results in the treatment of BCC with minimal side effects. The article presents a case study of a patient who experienced significant reduction and disappearance of the lesion after treatment with tirbanibulin ointment. The authors suggest that tirbanibulin ointment could be a viable option for the management of superficial BCC, but further studies are needed to establish its role in BCC recurrence.
