Abstract
The article presents a case study of 61 year old male admitted to the emergency department complaining with right flank pain, weight loss, and night sweats. Topics include the identification of heterogeneous right retroperitoneal lesion by computed tomography (CT) suggesting an abscess, the cultures obtained by abscess drainage revealing group B Streptococcus (GBS) and laparoscopic surgery- assisted drainage of abscess of the patient was performed and maintained on intravenous (IV) ceftriaxone.
