Abstract
Given that much of the data required to answer SWAR research questions is either generated during a review or can be collected with little effort, SWARs offer a potentially cost-effective approach to improving review processes. A resource-efficient way of conducting these evaluations is to undertake a Study Within A Review (SWAR). Where appropriate, the outcome of a SWAR may inform decisions within its host systematic review(s) A SWAR need not be prohibitively expensive.
