Abstract
The article focuses on findings of a study on application of a gyroscope to find true north. It states the constrain the rotational axis of a gyroscope to move in a horizontal plane, and mentions difference in the periods of clockwise and counter-clockwise precessions due to the effect of Earth's rotation. It notes use of a vector representing a torque, which is parallel with Earth's axis.
