Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to the U.S. Civil War. Segway, a type of scooter, is being offered by the Spotsylvania National Military Park for tours of the Spotsylvania Court House Battlefield. The National Civil War Naval Museum in Port Columbus, Georgia has been awarded the Leadership in History Award of Merit from the American Association for State and Local History (AASLH), and Civil War scholars have joined 300 historians in opposing a proposed casino near the Gettysburg National Military Park.
