Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to Civil War in the U.S. The ongoing budget problems in Pennsylvania have the Civil War Museum of Philadelphia a three-year interim plan in hopes of opening a new museum by 2014. The Battle of Franklin in Tennessee ranks as the bloodiest encounter during the Civil War. Moreover, James Whitfield Ross of Virginia was inducted into the Kansas National Guard Hall of Fame on November 8, 2009.
