Abstract
The article presents a study which sought to automate Medication Regimen Complexity Index (MRCI) calculation in a database of people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or dementia and to examine contributions of specific MRCI components to overall complexity. Topics include calculation of MRCI scores, MRCI by patient characteristics, and possible impact of complex medications on the risk of poor health outcomes.
