Abstract
The article focuses on a study related to the multicentre 2-cycle retrospective audit of postoperative haemorrhages from tonsillectomies. It mentions reporting of the posttonsillectomy haemorrhage rate in secondary care and financial penalties exist for readmissions as a result of surgical complications. It also mentions rare blood transfusion after tonsillectomy.
