Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated bortezomib-induced neurotoxicity in patients with multiple myeloma. Topics discussed include the development of demyelinating polyradiculoneuritis following treatment with bortezomib, the neurological presentation of bortezomib-induced toxicity including numbness, pain paraesthesia and bilateral motor deficits, and possible pathogenic mechanisms for bortezomib-induced peripheral neuropathy.
