Abstract
The article presents a study on the link of melioidosis incidence with rainfall and humidity in Singapore from 2003-2012. The study uses regression models that use a quasi-Poisson distribution for the cases and Poisson and quasi-Poisson models for count data to determine correlation of the subjects. It is suggested that water is the mode of transmission and acquisition of the disease which is caused by Burkholderia pseudomallei.
