Abstract
The article presents a study on the role of anthropogenic variation on the intensity of drought in northern Great Plains in the U.S. in 2017. Mentioned is the increase of evapotranspiration over precipitation during extreme weather events. Discussed are results of climate change simulations in atmospheric and ocean circulations.
