Abstract
Although there are controversies about the effectiveness of the treatment of CRAO, the AHA guidelines[[4]] recommend intravenous fibrinolysis as the first line of treatment and in cases where the latter is contraindicated, management with intra-arterial fibrinolysis is recommended.
