This letter, published in the Journal of Translational Medicine, discusses the presence of the BAG3 protein in serum samples from patients with psoriasis. The authors conducted an analysis of BAG3 levels in serum samples from 31 psoriasis patients and found significant differences in BAG3 levels between different patient groups. They also observed that BAG3 release was induced in keratinocytes by certain cytokines present in the psoriatic environment. The authors suggest that the presence of BAG3 in the serum of psoriasis patients may have implications for disease severity and further research is needed to understand its role in the disease.
