Abstract
We study the factorial correlators for 28Si-AgBr collisions at 14.6 AGeV and for UrQMD events in the full range of correlation length (D). A power-law behaviour in the region D< 0.5 is observed. The results obtained for experimental events are compared with those for UrQMD events. The UrQMD model does not explain the power-law behaviour of the factorial correlators. However, our results are in agreement with the ?-model, which predicts that the factorial correlators have a power-law increase with decreasing correlation length and have no dependence on the size of the bin width (?X).
