Abstract
Penile prostheses have been an option available to men with erectile issues since they were developed in 1973, and these devices have been redesigned and updated in the last 48 years. As time and technology have progressed, these devices improved in terms of the ability to reproduce a natural-feeling erection and in terms of their overall mechanical function and reliability. The three-piece implant has consistently both the highest patient and partner satisfaction rating of all treatments for erectile dysfunction, making penile prosthesis a safe, effective, and durable option for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
