Abstract
The article discusses the general dermatological evaluation of street sanitation workers and suggests preventive measures. The different types of dermatoses noted include tinea versicolor, facial melanosis and dermatophytoses. The article also includes recommendations to improve the workers' health status, which include provision of protective gear such as gloves, masks, work boots and work clothes, awareness programmes regarding general health and hygiene, and regular health check-ups.
