This article presents a case study of a patient with primary hyperparathyroidism who underwent parathyroidectomy. During the surgery, a second lesion was discovered within the thyrothymic tract, which was initially thought to be a parathyroid adenoma. However, further examination revealed that it was actually a thymoangiolipoma, a rare type of thymic tumor. The authors highlight the importance of being aware of thymic lesions to avoid misidentification and non-curative surgery.
