Abstract
Thus, oxPAPC mediated induction of NRF2 leads to activation/repression of several miRNAs which further leadstoderegulationofnumeroustargetsbyeachmiRNA,thuscreating anamplifyingeffectateachlevel, leadingtoabroaderchangeinthecellularexpressionprofile. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small regulatory RNA molecules, known to regulate gene expression of multiple target mRNAs. 8 Interestingly, all these miRNAs targets NRF2 itself during senescence (Figure 1). 8 Thus, showing that NRF2 dependent regulation of these miRNAs is stimuli specific.
