Abstract
The article discusses the tuberculosis (TB) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) syndemic. According to the article, program implementation and research were overlooked in the past years, which led to high TB incidences and failure to develop new tools to address the problem. Moreover, approximately 160 persons die of TB each hour, in which a quarter of these with HIV are caused by TB. Other topics include misconceptions regarding TB, combating the two disease, global guidance, among others.
