Abstract
The article comments on the article "Laparoscopic resection for colon adenocarcinoma," by B.P. Jacob and B. Salky, featured in a 2005 issue. Lymphadenectomy technique can be improved by performing high division of the primary feeding vessel, which allows radical lymphadenectomy. The evidence supports that in colorectal cancer surgery, as many lymph nodes as possible should be retrieved and analyzed during curative resections for cancer.
