Abstract
The outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection, causing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), has had a deleterious effect on the delivery of care for all acute and chronic medical conditions ([[1]]). Despite some patients complaining of symptoms potentially related to COVID-19, only one was referred to the emergency department and was admitted to the hospital after confirmation of COVID-19 pneumonia. Our findings do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the real incidence rate of COVID-19 in SSc; however, according to our data, SSc patients seem not to be at increased risk for developing severe COVID-19.
