Abstract
The article offers information on the tropical cyclone activity in the Atlantic basin during the 2014 season which was considered below average. It mentions that six out of the eight tropical storms that formed, became hurricanes, reaching major hurricane strength. It cites the hurricanes that hit East Coast of the U.S. which include Hurricane Arthur that made a landfall in North Carolina.
