RESULTS One hundred and eight patients met the inclusion criteria out of 410 patients identified with salivary gland neoplasia. Head and neck malignancies are typically resected with a margin of up to 1 cm all around, where reasonable.5 For higher grade salivary gland malignancies, a resection margin of 2 cm was advocated in the 2016 UK management guideline,6 but this is not generally feasible because of the anatomical constraints to the surgical extirpation. MATERIALS AND METHODS Retrospective analysis was conducted in patients with salivary gland malignancies treated at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (London, UK). [Extracted from the article]
