Abstract
Presents a study which identifies Twisted gastrulation (TSG) gene products from humans, mice, Xenopus, zebrafish, and chicks. Expression patterns that are consistent with in vivo interactions between TSG, bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), and the Short gastrulation (SOG) orthologue, chordin, and the Decapentaplegic orthologue BMP4; Effects of the interactions; Conclusion that Tsg acts as a cofactor in chordin's antagonism of BMP signalling.
