Abstract
Sustainability has become a major concern for organizations all around the world. Implementing a sustainable supply chain during the procedure is an important area of concern while keeping carbon emissions in perspective. In this work, a mathematical framework of three-layer including the manufacturer, remanufacturer and retailer for sustainable inventory have been developed, and the impacts of environmental and economic aspects have been investigated. When the manufacturer allows the retailer to delay payment for a certain period, and this strategy attracts retailers because it eliminates the requirement for them to initially arrange for funds. The stock is considered deteriorating type at a constant rate and demand is directly dependent to credit limit and returned items are refurbished, whereas waste materials are recycled. The carbon emission and screening cost also introduced in the total average cost of the framework. The objective of the study is to find out the optimal manufacturing time when the stock level is maximum for manufacturer and remanufacturer. To validate the framework, numerically illustrated and sensitivity investigation is carried out. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
