Abstract
The article discusses the highlights of the annual conference of the American Library Association (ALA) held in Florida in June 2016. A memorial service was held for the victims of the mass shooting at the LGBT nightclub Orlando's Pulse. Attendance considerably declined compared to the previous year. Topics of the panel discussions included information security and the necessity of providing continued support for older devices, operating systems and applications used by patrons.
