Abstract
The article offers information on European Severe Storms Laboratory, a non-profit organization studies severe weather, climate, and forecasting and manages database of weather reports. Topics discussed include lack of awareness of the frequency and intensity of convective hazards among forecasters; European Conference on Tornadoes and Severe Storms held in 2000 in Toulouse, France; and growth in the annual number of severe weather reports.
