Abstract
The article focuses on the potential risks to key tropical crops due to the loss of insect pollinators caused by climate change and land use changes. The study, based on a global assessment using a large dataset of insect pollinator species, reveals significant reductions in pollinator abundance and findings suggest that regions in sub-Saharan Africa, South America and Southeast Asia, particularly those producing crops like cocoa and coffee are at high risk of facing crop production challenges.
