Although the rates of childhood vaccination are still high in the United States, there has been an increase in vocal vaccine deniers. Regardless that the safety and efficacy of vaccines has been well established through evidence-based medicine, these individuals are relentless in their beliefs and are dismissive of scientific research. Subsequently, there have been several outbreaks of measles, a serious vaccine preventable disease. How should we as medical providers address this trend? This article provides an expert opinion by Dr. Paul A.
