Abstract
The availability of green open space in Serang City in 2015 was 31.01 %, and it has decreased compared to the year 2000, which was 44.96 %. This will allow for a decrease in the availability of green open space in Serang City in 2020. This research was conducted to determine the availability of green open space in Serang City in 2020. NDVI with Landsat 8 imagery, bands 3 and 4 is used to collect the required data. Descriptive analysis is used in this study to analyze the data obtained, then compared to the theories and results of the previous study. Based on the research results, the availability of green open space in Serang City is 61.47 km2 or 23.34 % of the city's total area. This shows that the availability of green open space in Serang City still does not meet the criteria for the minimum area of green open space that a city must-have. Therefore, it is necessary to make conservation efforts and increase the availability of green open spaces to minimize air temperature levels and the number of inundation points (floods) in Serang City.
