Strawberry tongue in Yersinia pseudotuberculosis infection.

Abstract
On a rare occasion, I Y. pseudotuberculosis i infection may progress to bacteremia.[1] The major clinical manifestations include fever, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. The blood cultures yielded I Yersinia pseudotuberculosis. i She was diagnosed with I Y. pseudotuberculosis i colitis with bacteremia, and antibiotic therapy was initiated. Physical examination revealed a temperature of 39°C, a red and swollen tongue with enlarged papillae, which is referred to as strawberry tongue (Figure 1), and swollen anterior cervical lymph nodes.
