Abstract
Nanocomposites, characterized by the combination of nanoscale fillers and polymeric matrices, have attracted considerable attention in various fields due to their enhanced properties and wide range of applications. Among the numerous nanocomposite systems, nontronite-chitosan based nanocomposites have emerged as promising candidates due to their unique properties and synergistic effects. This comprehensive review aims to provide a detailed overview of the recent advancements in nontronite-chitosan based nanocomposites. The review begins with an introduction to nontronite and chitosan, highlighting their individual characteristics and potential applications. The subsequent sections focus on the fabrication methods employed for developing nanocomposites. Furthermore, the impact of different functionalization techniques on the properties of nontronite-chitosan nanocomposites is elucidated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
