Does entrepreneurial training change minds? a case study among Southeast Asian business students.

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the relationship between entrepreneurial training and intention among Southeast Asian students who are influenced by Confucianism. The conceptual model was tested with a sample size of 281 students enrolled in a business administration program. The most significant findings from the study were: (i) students’ entrepreneurial intention increased significantly; (ii) all research factors had a positive influence on entrepreneurial intention; (iii) students had lower confidence in their business abilities and capabilities; (iv) students’ perceptions of peer and family support improved; and (v) there was no relationship between family characteristics (i.e. parents’ occupation and students’ place of residence) and entrepreneurial intention. These results provide a foundation for developing entrepreneurship training programs that promote students’ entrepreneurial intention in Southeast Asian countries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
