Abstract
The article discusses emerging challenges and opportunities in economics of veterinary medicine in America. It mentions investment in veterinary economics by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), where it established the Veterinary Economics Strategy Committee in order to deal with growing concern about the economic burdens faced by it AVMA members; and also reviews past, present, and future work in the field of veterinary economics.
