Abstract
To the Editor, Schwannomas, also known as neurilemmomas or neurinomas, are benign, slow-growing tumours arising from Schwann cells.1 They typically present as an asymptomatic, solitary, well-encapsulated tumour of 0.5 to 3 cm in diameter on any part of the body.1,2 Clinically, schwannomas usually appear as skin-coloured to pink or yellow and are often difficult to diagnose. Also, the tumour cells were surrounded by a fibrous capsule (Fig. (HE, x4) (c) High-power view: Spindle-shaped tumor cells are accompanied by hemorrhaging and siderophages (blue dotted circle).
