Abstract
Solid pseudopapillary neoplasms (SPN) are an extremely rare form of tumor with low malignant potential that are generally located in the tail of the pancreas. The prevalence of SPN has increased with the recent advancement in radiological imaging. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography of the abdomen and endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration are excellent modalities in preoperative diagnosis. Surgery is the main treatment modality of choice; a successful R0 resection is curative. We present a case of SPN along with an up-to-date summary of the literature in order to provide a reference for the management of this rare clinical entity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
