Abstract
The article presents a study that mentions of several pharmacological of 4-hydroxylonchocarpin (HLCP) and investigates whether HLCP affects melanogenesis by inhibition of tyrosinase-related proteins in human melanoma cells. Topics discussed include use of different melanoma cell lines in the study including B16F10 mouse melanoma, SKMEL-2 and MNT-1 human melanoma cell lines, analysis of MAPK signalling pathways and discussion on the antimelanogenic effects of HLCP.
