Abstract
The article focuses on the application of a yeast bioassay to study the interaction between NH2- and COOH (N–C) terminals of androgen receptors induced by androgens and anti-androgens. The bioassay, accordingly, uses a green fluorescent protein (GFP) as a reporter gene which however produces higher 50% effective concentration (EC50) values of various steroids. It adds the method was also effective in detecting compounds which inhibit the N–C interaction, such as resveratrol.
