Abstract
The article addresses the end of the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Minority Graduate Fellowship Program (MGFP), which aimed to increase the representation of racial and ethnic minority students pursuing advanced degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Topics discussed include comparison of the NSF with the Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP), background of the case Adarand Constructors, Inc. v. Peña, and important focus areas for the GRFP.
