Abstract
The article discusses the study that examines the procedure of colostomy performed among pediatric patients in Sub-Saharan Africa. Topics mentioned include the burden of surgical condition in the region, the availability of few devoted pediatric surgeons and the insufficient knowledge of surgeons. Also emphasized are the congenital anomalies of children who undergone colostomy.
