Abstract
The article presents a case study on the appropriate blood pressure target for a 32-year-old pregnant patient with mild chronic hypertension. Treating hypertension to a lower goal of <140/90 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) can improve pregnancy outcomes without increasing risks. The study demonstrates that active treatment at this threshold reduces the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes and is recommended by professional organizations.
